What is Muay Thai?

Muay Thai (Thai Boxing) is the martial art of Thailand and is known as the ‘art of 8 limbs’ because it is the combined use of fists, elbows, knees and shins. It is a combat sport of stand up striking and clinching techniques. Muay Thai can be generally classed into attack, defense and counter techniques. To become adept in the sport it requires drilling the techniques over and over until they form part of muscle memory. It is a great self-defense skill, making it ideal for anyone to learn. Practicing this sport is an amazing way to express yourself and build not only physical strength but mental strength as well.
